The witch prawn reaches 145 mm (5.7 inches).
Distribution:
The witch prawn is widely but not densely distributed through the Indo-West Pacific region from Southeast Africa to Taiwan, including the Malay archipelago and in Polynesia. It is also found in the Tones Strait off Queensland. A marine species, it prefers depths of 33 to 46 meters (100 to 150 feet).
